I've purchased at least 30 of these batteries over the past 5 years, and
never paid more than $35. We use them for kid's go-kart-sized EVs in

manufactured in 1996 and still deliver about half their original amphour
capacity!
They generally die from overcharging, rather than from age or cycle
life. My only real concern is that you might get a battery removed from
a UPS that has been mindlessly float charged for 2-3 years. This slowly
gasses away too much water, and the battery will have high resistance
(not able to deliver high currents) and low amphour capacity.
